HOME.fm (simulcast of WSAE-FM and WJKN-FM/Spring Arbor) has announced a new Mornings@HOME co-host. Beginning Tuesday, September 3, the show will be known as “Mornings@HOME with Tim & Kay” and air weekdays from 6-9 am.
Rachel Buchanan, general manager of HOME.fm said “Kay Richardson is new to radio, but brings a robust joy and infectious laughter to the show. We are excited to have her on board!” This will be the first male/female hosted morning show on HOME.fm in two years.
Continuing co-host Tim Ambrose is a married father of three. He pastors a rural church, and coaches basketball at a Christian school. He also enjoys acting in theatre and helping at a relative’s comic book shop. Kay enjoys camping, canoeing, and watching movies. When she is not on air, you might find her hosting Trivia around Jackson County or casually participating in a local 5K with her aunt and uncle. She is passionate about her involvement with a Detroit non-profit that prevents sex-trafficking through awareness and works in a three-stranded cord of prevention, rescue, and restoration.
HOME.fm plays a unique mix of Music that makes you feel good® from Spring Arbor University, blending both Christian and mainstream music. The format was developed in 2005, and follows a tradition of radio broadcasting at SAU that goes back to 1963. This is the flagship station at the university, where professionals train students alongside them on the air as they learn.
